A seminar in Kristiansand, organized by Signal Analysis Lab and GCE NODE, explored how electric motor technologies from the automotive sector can enhance offshore wind applications. Experts from 4Multiphysics and Seequest Solutions discussed adapting automotive powertrain designs to meet offshore challenges, emphasizing the need for multidisciplinary collaboration to improve reliability and reduce dependence on critical minerals.

Arduino x Signal Analysis Lab

Signal Analysis Lab partnered with Arduino to create Arpuro, a rugged air quality monitoring system for industrial use. Built on the Arduino MKR platform, it supports multiple communication protocols and measures various particulate levels, improving workplace safety. The system is self-cleaning, easy to install, and now expanding beyond Norway.

Signal Analysis Lab was featured in Shifter for its participation in Innovation Norway’s EMNY (Executive Marketing New York) scaling program. Over five months, the program provides Norwegian startups with mentorship and resources to prepare for international expansion, including a concluding alumni gathering in New York.

Recognizing the risks of a homogeneous team, SAL collaborated with Innoventus Sør, GCE NODE, and 07 Sør to develop a diversity-focused organizational strategy, demonstrating openness and forward-thinking leadership.

Signal Analysis Lab received a NOK 1 million grant through the Research Council of Norway’s StudENT program, supporting student entrepreneurs in commercializing their ideas post-graduation. This funding enabled SAL to transition from a university project to a viable business.
